Farmer Outreach
The FPO has a total of 376 farmers, of which 194 are women. These farmers are benefitting from FPO support through training, subsidies, and market access with support of Harvesting Farmer Network (HFN).
Access to Inputs and Knowledge
Through its agricultural shops and support network, farmers have access to quality inputs and resources. This, combined with guidance on best farming practices, helps improve yields and the quality of the produce. Improved Income: By eliminating middlemen and creating direct market linkages, the company has enabled farmers to secure better prices for their produce.
Market Linkages and Trading
Indeera Harvest acts as a crucial intermediary between local farmers and larger markets, ensuring that the produce is traded at competitive prices.
Women Empowerment
A significant portion of the FPO'S membership consists of women farmers (194 out of 376). By involving women in the decision-making process, management, and operations, the company plays a role in empowering women in agriculture, ensuring their participation in the economy, and addressing gender inequalities in rural areas.
Agricultural Infrastructure
Indeera Harvest is committed to developing agricultural infrastructure, including setting up agricultural shops. These shops offer affordable inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and tools.
Financial Support and Grants
The FPO has secured a significant government grant of 16 Lakh INR to kick-start its operations and establish a strong foundation for growth. This funding aids in building infrastructure, purchasing inputs, and running outreach programs for farmers, with support and guidance from the Harvesting Farmer Network (HFN).
